Impromptu Speeches

An impromptu speech is one that you must give without knowing in advance what the topic will be. It is used for debates, college and high school. You are expected to speak for up to 8 minutes, with as little as 30 seconds to prepare what you will say. Typically, you are given a choice between 3 topics, and then must quickly prepare what you will say on the subject. An example that might be .
