A biography is an account of the events, which make up a person's life. Each written biography includes basic details. Researching information, the details and facts, is the first thing that is to be done in writing a biography. The information must be gathered from trustworthy sources to ensure the information is accurate. The basic details that should be included in each biography are the
. birthdate, death date and place for each occurrence; any family information; the person's lifetime accomplishments; major life events; and what effect or impact the person had on society, what was their historical significance. Once the facts have been gathered, it is time to start writing the paper. A good way to begin a biography is with an interesting statement, a little known fact about the person or a truly intriguing life even. The beginning should be interesting, but also relevant. The next couple of sentences should lead to the main message, or thesis statement, of the biography. After the beginning, the rest of the paper should contain the pertinent, basic information. Use the basic details and see if there are any other intriguing details about the subject of the biography. The body of the biography should give insight to the subject's personality. Some things to consider adding to the biography are how childhood shaped the subject's personality, if the subject contained a personality trait that helped them to be successful, how can the subject be described, what were the turning points in the subject's life and what impact did they have on history. The last paragraph summarizes the main points and restates the thesis statement. It should state the main points and rename the subject. It does not need to include any specific examples. When the paper has been completed, it needs to be proofread and checked for errors.
