Mindanao is located in the Philippines. It is the second largest island, and is located east of the Philippines. The island was originally called the Gran Mollucas or the Great Mollucas. There are many different ethnic groups living on Mindanao. The ethnic groups in Mindanao are broken up into tribes. The 18 tribes are the T'boli, B'laan, Ata, Bogobo, Banwaon, Bukidnon, Dibabawon, Higaunon,
. Kalagan, Mamanwa, Mandaya, Mangguwangan, Manobo, Mansaka, Subanen, Tagakaolo, Teduray, and Ubo. The most well known tribes are the T'boli, and the B'laan.
