"Educational grants for women are obtainable in order to continue adult education. There are quite a few different grants that can be applied for. Some grants are targeted for under graduates and some are for single mothers. The Business and Professional Women's Foundation has the Career Advancement Scholarship Program which provides a program for women who do not have the economic resources in
. order to obtain their educational goals. The American Association of University Women awards grants to women who had to discontinue their education in order to raise their children or go back to work in order to provide for the family. There are provisions made to offer grants even to single mothers. The federal government has grant programs for this purpose; there is the Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), the National SMART grant. The Pell grant and FSEOG are the only grants that are considered ""need based"" grants meanwhile the other grants offered are ""merit based"" grants."
