A science project are often a very important component of the eighth grade. The subject of science is still fairly general in the eighth grade, meaning that there are hundreds and hundreds of suitable science projects for eighth graders. Science fairs are a popular way of making science exciting for young students, and combine science projects with a little bit of healthy competition. A list of
. possible eighth grade science projects include: a detailed study of common domestic animals and whether or not they are affected by color blindness; a study of popular soft drinks (like Coca Cola and Pepsi) and their effect on different objects like teeth and drywall screws over time; a study of the formation of crystals in nature, and how crystals can be manufactured at home; a study of plants and how sound and music affect their growth; and a study of dishwashing liquid, and whether or not the amount of lather they produce affects how well they clean dishes. Some other ideas include: a study of the various ways people use robots every day, along with small, simple robots created by the student; a study of how different lighting conditions, temperatures and soils affect the growth of a plant from seed; a study of the numerous uses of electricity, and how people can produce their own electricity at home; a study about solar panels and their usefulness; a study of plants, and how they grow when treated with pesticides versus how they grow without the use of pesticides; a study about the power of wind and how humans have harnessed that power, along with a small wind turbine made by the student; and a study of fossils and how fossils form over time, along with several plaster of paris models of fossils made by the student. The list of possible eighth grade science projects is very long, and there is a creative idea for everyone. http://www.sciencekids.co.nz/projects.html or http://www.scienceproject.com
