Parts of Central Processing Unit

The central processing unit (CPU), is the portion of a computer system that carries out the instructions of a computer program. Basically, it controls the other parts. The CPU is made up of of the control unit and the arithmetic and logic unit (ALU). The control unit controls the other parts of the computer. It sends signals to the ALU to perform an input or output.
