It is simple to calculate mode once someone shows you how. Mode is the number that appears the most often in a group of numbers. The simplest way to calculate mode is to first put all of the numbers in that group in order then you will have the most often number grouped together. For example, the numbers in this group will be 9,10,12,15,11,15,19,18,10,11,15,20&17. So first put them in order
. beginning with the smallest number 9, 10,12,11,11,15,15,15,1717,18,19,20. As you can see there are only 1 of each number except for 11(of which there are two) and 15 (of which there are three). Therefore, the mode in this group of numbers (or data, as it is sometimes called) is 15.
