This activity is highly illegal. Some thieves have taken to stealing a forklift first. Called a mash and dash they rip the ATM free of its moorings place it in a vehicle, then try to dismantle it later. This is no easy task since many come with a steel and concrete safe inside. Be advised that many ATMs are equipped with GPS devices so they can be located fast. Hardly worth all the effort.
