Using functions keys on the PC keyboard saves time in many cases for shortcuts. Take for instance instead of clicking on the File menu for options you could use the Alt +F key. For those that do a lot of copy and pasting they could use Ctrl + C to copy and then to paste Ctrl+ V. Depending on how the installation on an operating system along with the software program currently open will also
. depend on the function keys were using F1 ? F12. Shortcuts will differ from Macintosh and Apple to Microsoft Windows. Other shortcuts can be found for Linux and Unix as well. Shortcuts also apply to browsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. It all has to do with what system you are working with along with programs as to how you use them or even create the shortcuts. A good site for assisting in that would be this site which I find is very helpful http://www.computerhope.com/shortcut.htm.
