First their is the FPM ram that has the type of memory that can be accessed on the same page and that could be done using less latency. Most of the older systems use the fpm ram. The edo is a more modern version of the fpm . With this system the data output on the memory are not switched off when the memory controller removes the column address to start a new cycle.
