All credit card companies have their own name for the CCV code, but it does the same thing. The CCV code can be found on all major credit cards as the three digit number after your signature line. On American Express it will be the four digit number usually in the top right hand corner of your card. These numbers serve as a security code for the banks as well as for yourself.
