Closing a letter by using "regards" is a common feature in letter-writing, almost to the point of being cliched. However, because letter introductions and closings tend to be formulaic, this is not a problem. Those wishing to ad a bit more flourish to a closing may opt instead for "with kind regards" or "with warm regards."
