There is a way to check the directx version on your computer. Go to your start menu, this will be in the lower left corner of your screen. Select RUN if you do not see this when you click the start menu go to programs then accessories and you should find it there. Once your RUN program is open type in dxdiag and click ok. A diagnostics tool box will pop up, when you see this click yes. Another
. box will come up and this will be your Direct X diagnostics tool, look at the bottom of that and you will see the version that you have.
