The capabilities and limitation of a computer are described as: (1) Capabilities: A computer is faster and helps us complete our work without any mistakes/ errors. It can solve complex calculations quickly which takes a long time to complete manually. It is capable of handling and processing large calculations at a single time. It is becoming a child's learning tool. A computer is self-directing
. and can save and retrieve information. It can store voluminous data and gives out the same data when needed. It performs logical operations and is an efficient tool in analyzing and solving problems which involve decisions. It logically manipulates the data with correct data and instructions from the user. (2) Limitations: A computer cannot replace a human brain. It cannot think on its own and works only on stored procedures. You cannot depend on the computer every time. A computer fed wrong data will produce wrong information. It is subject to occasional breakdown. Like any machines, a computer malfunctions due to power fluctuations or worn out storage devices and other components.
