Ascii Character Map

An ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) character map is made up of the English alphabet and punctuation. There are 128 defined characters in the ASCII character map. ASCII is used to map out correspondence between character symbols and digital bit/byte patterns. ASCII would be how the computer's 1s and 0s show as letters on the screen. More can be found at .
