TO: JOHN BROWN
FROM: PAYROLL DEPARTMENT
RE: SALARY INCREASE - MERIT RAISE
DATE: NOVEMBER 10,2011
JOHN:
As of
. today's date, November 10, 2011, you have been employed with ABC Company for one year. During this year you have shown tremendous growth and have exhibited a stellar work ethic and an excellent attitude. You have completed every task that you have been given, as well as finishing some that were not originally assigned, and they have all been completed with accuracy, efficiency and professionally. You have consistently delivered quality in every position that we have placed you in, to a standard that far exceeded our expectations of what we were requiring when we hired you.Your co-workers have all commented on your great attitude, even when working a double shift or covering for another employee. Each time we have had to call you to request coverage for a shift, you have willingly obliged. You are a pleasure to work with, even during 'crunch time' when a deadline is looming, and the pace is frantic. Your positive outlook and attitude cause the rest of the team to take notice. It is a result of all of the above mentioned issues, as well as some that have probably slipped under the radar, we are pleased to offer you an increase in your hourly wage. Currently you are receiving a rate of pay of $12.25 per hour. Beginning today, your pay rate has increased to $15.00 per hour. We would also like you to consider taking the position of Assistant Manager sometime in January.
We appreciate you and all of your hard work.
Thank you for your effort and hard work. We greatly appreciate all that you do.
Sincerely,
ED HUGHES
General Manager
