Gross Vs Net Income

The amount of gross income is the amount of income before taxes or any other expense is deducted. Net income is the amount of income after taxes expenses ect. I first learned this in accounting class when I attended college. This isn't very easy to remember. The way I tried to remember was I always say to myself that net means the tax net that catches the remaining income after all other .
