"A friendly letter format is similar to formatting a variety of other letters. Starting in the upper right had corner of the paper, two lines should be allotted for the return address. The first line should have the mailing address, the second line should have the city and state. Underneath the city and state on the next (3rd) line, you should put the month day and year. You will then skip (by
. hitting your enter key) two spaces and place the name of the recipient (e.g. Dear John). This should start on the left side of the page. You will then skip two more lines and start your letter. Please remember to indent the first line of each paragraph. For the closing line, it should be located on the lower right side of your paper (make sure it is aligned with your address and date headings). For the signature section, skip four lines (you can also sign your name in that space) and then type your name. This should also be located in the lower right side, aligned with the closing. Also remember that a friendly letter should be between 10 - 12 font."
