Factors Affecting Osmosis

Osmosis is defined as the diffusion of water through a partially permeable membrane. This usually refers to membranes of cell walls. Factors like water percentage or amounts of sodium can affect osmosis. There is a certain pressure required to maintain a balance. When the balance is slightly off the cells can use the vacuum of pressure to perform osmosis. Learn more at .
