Employee letters of warnings have to be very tactful. Always use company letterhead, with the date clearly marked. Be sure to add the policy that the employee has violated. List out very clearly what actions the employee did that weren't in accordance with the company policy. Detail the previous reprimands that the employee may have received. Describe in detail the results of the employee?s lack
. of adherence to company policy. Make sure if there are time lines for the employee to improve their performance, they are clearly stated in the letter. Sign, date, and make sure the writer's title is included on the letter. After the employee signs the original to acknowledge receipt, make a copy for the employee, and file the original in their permanent employee personnel file.
