Dish Network Smart Access Card

The Dish Network smart access card is used to prevent theft of service. It doesn't have the standard magnetic strip, but has a microprocessor inside. The microprocessor is not read as easily, so theft is more difficult. Since it is the Smart Card, it also helps with more accurate billing.
