Dictionary.com is one of my favorite resources. Congress has sent a bill to the white house that will extend unemployment benefits in the U.S. What this bill is offering is an extra 13 weeks of compensation to the jobless. The regular 26 weeks of benefits would be increased to 39 consecutive weeks. The extension will run through March. You can find more articles on this subject at www.nytimes.com.
