In order to build a concrete wall you will need to measure the area. If you take the measurements to one of the big box hardware store an associate will be able to calculate how many blocks you will need. Snap a chalk line on the ground where the wall will be laid out. Starting with the corner lay the blocks out without using mortor to get and idea of the layout. The mortar should be applied at
