Applying Leveling Compound

Applying leveling compound is done to create a level surface to install tile or floor coverings. The goal is to fill creases or indentations that might cause the floor to be uneven. Start by sanding any uneven spots on the surface. Vacuum any dust that may prevent the compound from adhering. Use a damp sponge or mop to prepare the surface. Dampening the surface will help the compound adhere .
