Some great ideas to retain the residents in your apartment complex would be offer some free stuff with the rent. Especially in this economy anything you can add as an added incentive for a little bit of time would be a plus both for tenants and for your business. One suggestion I could make is to maybe give those residents who decide to sign a six month lease maybe a ten percent discount off
. their rent for the next six months then return to the rent they were paying before they signed the lease. Another thing I might note is maybe you can put a no rent increase guarantee clause in there stating that you won't raise their rent if they renew their lease again for a year on the renewal date. Promise not to raise their rent for the first full year on signing the new lease. Other things you can do to retain your residents could be maybe having coffee and donuts once a week or once a month if you can afford it it be nice to have it daily. In the apartment complex I live in they do this on a daily basis. Also I think being available for your customers is another big plus. Follow some of these tips and I bet you'll see a lot of your tenants will renew their lease.
