In this day and age, with the economy the way that it is, it may be necessary for companies to merge. There are advantages and disadvantages from merging firms. One of the advantages may be getting extra perks that you may not have had before. One of the disadvantages would be if the other company wants to clean house and use their own employees. Then you are out of a job.
