Activating a stolen phone is not a very easy task. If the phone in question has a sim card, you can simply insert the card into the phone. The sim pocket is normally behind the battery. It will only work on your network if you have a sim card, the phone is unlocked, and/or it is geared for your network. If there is no sim card, you may not be able to activate it. Most phone companies have serial
. numbers on their phones. They will be able to track it. You may be able to find a way to unlock the phone on the internet, but that's no guarantee that your service provider will hook it up to your plan. Your best bet is to buy your own phone, especially one that is not stolen. Then, you will not have to worry about it not being connected or legal problems.
