Accounting T Accounts

The simplest accounting structure is shaped in the letter T and called T accounts. You place the account title and account number above the T. All debits are placed on the left side, and credits are placed on the right side. Increases in assets, expenses, and owner's drawing accounts are placed on the debit side. The increases in liability, revenue, and owner's capital accounts go on the credit .
