Composed Upon Westminster Bridge is a sonnet composed by William Wordworth, September 3, 1802. He wrote the sonnet on the roof of a coach on his way to france. Building of the original Westminster Bridge started in 1739 and was completed in 1750. Construction on the current Westminster Bridge started in 1854 and completed in 1862.
