There are several ways to tie head scarves. Some are actually attractive and enticing while others are awfully dreadful. I would also think it is according to the person and their attire how the tied scarf is portrayed. There is the splash pre-tied, split pre-tied, the peasant tie, ready tied, fashion ties, and on and on. It depends on you and what you want. And most importantly, they can be
. very fashionable if that is the look that you are trying to achieve. Scarves are perfect for bad hair days ( and which one of us has not had one :))) I am going to give you a link to a site that will give you instructions on how to prepare your hair for the application of the scarf and how to place and firmly secure it on your head. You can wear your hair down with the scarf on top -- absolutely stunning with the right outfit!!!! -- try it first on family and friends if you are looking for the outside the home look. I see women going to the market (not many!!! thanks goodness eeek!!) with their hair in hair rollers !!!! Where is the scarf ?? That is what they are made for to cover and to enhance. But as I said try this out on family and friends first and see how well it goes over. Please keep an open mind as what others see we tend not to. Be versatile also once you began to wear scarves. Do not wear the same scarf twice, pick nice beautiful serene colors that do not scream at you "look at my Head" Smiles... Also do not be sloppy with you new found head gear. Be flexible in your use of the scarves and you will get mega praise from family, friends and when you decide to wear them out from outsiders. I would suggest that you spend a minimum amount at first and only buy about 3 or 4 scarves. Get use to wearing them and if you really really like it then go for it but never go overboard as I have found too much sometimes is boring. Another factor to consider is your outfit-- make sure that your scarf does not clash with your outfit or shoes. You want to be a fashion icon not a walking disaster. I would say with prints in your outfit find a scarf with the dominant color in the outfit to wear the scarf and shoes in or a neutral color for the shoes and pick up the dominant color in the outfit for the shoes. This can be a very very fun activity in dressing but make sure you have time and the energy as you do not want to be a walking disaster. I think that the stylist in the link will also touch upon a few tips. Read this article in its entirety and I am positive you will be totally totally enlightened when it comes to scarves.
