The grading chart for high school and for some colleges follow the following grade scale. For the letter "I" it stands for incomplete grade. Meaning that the student did not complete the assignment or course of the subject and they will receive a zero. The letter "F" means that the student failed the class or assignment with the points of zero or fifty nine. Following that is the letter "D" means

The next letter is "C" or "C+" and the following points are from seventy to seventy nine. Following that is "B" and "B+" with the following point scores are from eighty to eighty nine. Finally, the last letter is "A" and the following point scale is ninety to one hundred. The average score is "C" which is worth 2.0 GPA and above average is "B" which gives you a 3.0 GPA.The outstanding score is "A" which is 4.0 GPA.
