To transform your old bathroom follow the whirlpool tub installation instructions. Test fit the new tub into your space and install. Set the drain inside the tub with plumber's putty about a half an inch. Stick it on the under side of the drain before you push the drain through the bottom of the tub. Hold the drain steady on the inside of the tub with a tub drain wrench. The putty should squeeze
. out all around the rim. Spread mortar underneath tub and outline of tub base. After the mortar hardens, hook up the overflow and waste trap. Solder on an extra copper stub and cap for the spout. Attach the faucet handle, open the shutoffs in the access panel and turn on the water. Check for leaks in the copper lines. Cut the copper spout length to faucet instructions. Feel each joint for leaks, make sure slip nuts are hand tightened. Make sure your GFCI is set and the circuit breakers are on.
