Turner Field is the name of a stadium that was first used in 1996 for the Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Braves then leased the stadium, which is named after Ted Turner. Its original capacity was 85,000 people, but the seating space was substantially reduced when the Braves took over the building and performed major renovations to convert it into a space that is suitable
. for baseball. The capacity has remained at around 50,000 people since then with occasional minor upward and downward fluctuations.Premium seating in the stadium includes an area called the SunTrust Club, which is situated behind home plate. People who purchase tickets in this section must wear either business casual attire or Braves gear while at the stadium. There are also restrictions on the re-sale of tickets from this section, which features about 150 seats. Members come in through a special entrance and have access to a full bar. The membership price includes food and drinks. The Turner Field seating chart at the official Atlanta Braves site is located at http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/atl/ticketing/seating_pricing.jsp. It divides the seats into color-coded sections and displays where they are positioned in comparison to various areas of the playing field. Seats at field level are usually more expensive than the ones at club level.Another Turner Field seating chart is available at http://www.bravesseatingchart.com/atlanta-braves-seating-chart. This chart is also coded by color and includes the locations of the press boxes. A map to Turner Field is posted at the bottom of the page.Due to the stadium's construction, every seat is angled in the direction of the infield. Each aisle is numbered so that the odd numbers are located on the right field and first base side of the stadium. The left field and third base side contains the aisles with even numbers.
