Andres Bonifacio is a national hero of the Philippines wherein he led several armed revolt against the Spanish colonist. He was the founder and main leader of the revolutionary K.K.K. which means "Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalang na Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan" (Highest and Most Respected Society of the Sons of the Country) or "Katipunan" which sought the independence of the Philippines. . nationalist he wrote several Tagalog articles and one of these is the famous poem "Ang Pag-ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa." The poem persuades the Filipino people to be more nationalistic and be proud to fight for the freedom of the country. With this composition Andres Bonifacio not only proves that he is a valiant freedom fighter but also a gallant poetic writer for his beloved country.
