welcome to the pseudodictionary, where words you’ve made up can become part of an online dictionary:
slang, webspeak, colloquialisms, you name it™.
if you know a word that should be in a dictionary but isn’t, submit it and we’ll add it. if you
know a real word (meaning one already in a more or less legitimate dictionary) and you think it
would be a fit for the pd, go ahead and submit it. if we like it enough, we’ll add it. either way
you’ll get credit for being pseudosmart. and, of course, you’ll become pseudofamous, too.
submit as many words as you like, but only words that meet our high (and arbitrary)
standards
will be added. words you submit shouldn’t be drug-related or overly sexual, shouldn’t
describe genitals or bodily functions, and shouldn’t be racist or otherwise hateful.
we want to keep the site lighthearted and fun for everyone, so words such as those won’t
are unlikely to be added. (the words along those lines that are in the pd now? — we submitted them
ourselves.) if your rude words are added, they won’t be easy to find.
if you claim ownership of a word we’ve added and want us to remove it,
let hd know. so many crappy submittals have
slipped through, he may remove it even if he doesn’t believe you.
note: a word’s appearance in the pseudodictionary does not make it a real word,
merely a pseudo-word. we take no responsibility for your use of words from the pseudodictionary.
