Democratic National Convention Stage

The stage upon which Barack Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president has come under scrutiny from the Senator McCain's camp as being "arrogant" and "pretentious." While this may distract from the more important political issues at hand, it highlights the otherwise invisible and forgettable stage, which was rendered as a Greek colonnade.

The colonnade uses motifs such as Greek Doric columns with a seemingly authentic Doric entablature, replete with triglyphs and guttae. I suppose that's about all the merit that can be attributed to it, though.
