We may know the names and characters of cities across America, yet few of us have had the privilege of experiencing these cities firsthand.

The purpose of this database is to pay homage to the American skyline; paranoid and presumptuous, yet patently beautiful. I've done my best to make sure that all of these pictures are in the public domain or that under a Creative Commons license (http://search.yahoo.com/cc, for example, is a good way to determine this).
