The Biggest Holes in the Director-Mail Bucket
In my entire life, I have not used a rented or purchased list, whether 5,000 or 50,000, without personally, manually going through it and looking at the labels! I recall getting a 30,000 list from a trade journal, deciding to send it out 3,000 a week for 10 weeks, to allow time to check each batch - I culled over 4,000 of those names: dupes mostly, but also customers we'd banned for bad behavior, people who clearly and obviously were not in the business they were supposed to be.
