One Nation Under Shatner

Squid-licking monkey-boy Reed R. Heustis, Jr., Esq. (yep, that's what he goes by), who as far as I know has not had syphilis, is perhaps not the most level-headed individual who has graced the pages of this website.

Today's article from Reed R. Heustis, Jr., Esq. is "One Nation Under Fill-in-the-Blank". I'm willing to bet that this is not a position he supports. Personally, I'm not for one nation "under" anything, but that's just me.

His by line is odd in itself, so I will share it with you:
By: Reed R. Heustis, Jr., Esq.
Christian Constitutionalist
August 4, AD 2007
I mean, Reed R. Heustis, Jr., Esq. actually insisted on sneaking in the AD (abbr. for "Anus Dominatrix"). Except for perhaps the pope, I have not seen anyone else sign, well, anything like this. I thought that the whole AD thing now was kind of a given by now. Oh well.
Amidst constant ongoing efforts to erase all mentions of God from our national and public life, conservative do-gooders stand up to defend acknowledgements of God wherever and whenever they can.
Including the by-line of your stupid articles. And isn't conservative do-gooder sort of an oxymoron?

I am reluctant to reprint much more of the article since Reed R. Heustis, Jr., Esq. is a lawyer and his article has the copyright, I shit you not: "© AD 2007 Christian Constitutionalist." But I think that I can find enough to talk about without resorting to quoting his tedious diatribe against the Muslim congressman Keith Ellison and other "anti-Christs," his literary pant-wetting over a Vedic prayer being said in Congress, his inept and frankly idiotic assertion that the Mayflower Compact is the basis of "American heritage" (as if "American heritage" was worth pigshit legally), and, lastly, his assertion that "Even a worshipper of a head of lettuce now is welcome to offer his vegan prayer on Capitol Hill." Dude, at least the head of lettuce exists. Haha!

I would like to point out at this point that Reed R. Heustis, Jr., Esq. is a member of the American Heritage Party, an association of fringe loonies who want to take the democracy out of democracy and install Jesus Christ as Generalissimo and Dictator for Eternity. Everyone needs a hobby, I guess, even if the party, should it endure, will never field a single viable candidate for dogcatcher--or dog for that matter.

"Imagine a political party that adopts the Bible as its political textbook and is unashamed to be explicitly Christian!" their site proclaims. I am, and I'm shuddering...this however may be an effect of the virus rampaging through my body. Let's see...so you want to institute polygamy, the killing of homosexuals, the selling of daughters, and, well, Christian sharia. They wanna see a kosher America. What dweebs!

"Imagine a
political party that is unafraid to attack socialism at its secular, unbelieving, religious roots!" It's secular, religious roots? Are you a'tarded? Yeah, these guys have a chance.

The AHP's mission is: "The American Heritage Party exists to help reclaim America's political institutions and culture for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith." This, of course, means trashing the Constitution. I don't care how you read the establishment clause, this is simply incompatible with...anything remotely American.

Sorry that this is an abbreviated version of the Jihad Loon Watch (not to be confused with birding). Got a little distracted.

Man is it nice to have my PC back! Yay!

I agree with Reed Heustis and the American Heritage Party. It seems to me that you protest too much. If AHP is destined to be as ineffectual as you claim, why devote so much vitriol towards it?

Dude, that wasn't vitriol. That was tolerance.

Being passionate about how wrong you are doesnt mean that I think you have a choirboy's chance in a rectory of ever fielding a candidate whom anyone would vote for.

You would have me killed for being myself. That's what your party's platform says to me as a stridently evangelical atheist. You apparently would consider that treason to the country, and it would be, were Jesus installed as Big Cahuna. I see no reason why I should respect such a piteously misguidied coalition. Even at my most frenzied (you ain't seen nothin') I would never consider taking away yor right to practice your religion. It's one of the few things I am wiling to die for: your right to be as wrong as you like.

The platform of the American Heritage Party includes, "religious rights and obligations must be protected, whether exercised individually or collectively."

As Christians we believe that that only those who are believers, i.e., stand in covenant with God through faith, should be considered for the office of civil magistrate. I am glad that you would die for our right to act accordingly and to peaceably assemble with others for that purpose.
