The heading above pretty well sums up this site: it's about baseball, major-league baseball in particular; it supplies insights through analysis of baseball statistics; and, as soon as the 2008 season finally opens, it will be current to the day.

If you want to understand the grand game of baseball more fully, and far more accurately, than sportscasters and sports writers explain it, and want to know why your your favorite baseball team is or isn't--as may be--winning, this is the place, and all it might cost you is a few illusions about how baseball works.
