Q&A with Justin Linam, Clinical Research Assistant

Justin Linam

What's best about working at Children's?

The best thing about working at Children's is working with such a collegial clinical care and administrative support team. My coworkers excel at their disparate jobs and know how to have fun while doing so.

2008 America's Best Hospitals

Seattle Children's Heart Center offers the most comprehensive pediatric cardiac care services in the region. We treat all heart problems — from the less critical to the most complex. Our program was established in 1995, and we see patients all over the region.

Children’s Heart Center is ranked one of the top heart and heart surgery programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report.

The Heart Center provides a full range of heart services to children and teens with congenital heart disease, heart defects and heart failure. Learn more about the heart conditions that we treat.

Top 5 Most Read Conditions

Cardiac Catheterization Procedures

Dramatic advances in cardiac catheterization techniques allow cardiologists to treat more conditions in the catheterization laboratory than ever before.

Our staff has been at the forefront of many interventional catheterization and EP (electrophysiology) procedures, such as closing holes in the heart.

Pediatric Heart Transplants

We have the medical expertise and technology to handle even the most complex cases. We recently performed a heart transplant on a baby less than two weeks old, the youngest infant to have a heart transplant in the Pacific Northwest.

Pediatric Arrhythmia Program

Children's was the first hospital in the Pacific Northwest to establish a pediatric electrophysiology program. Learn more about specialized procedures called EP (electrophysiology) studies and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). We also implant pacemakers and defibrillators.

Adolescent and Young Adult Heart Program

We provide treatment and transition to adult care for teens and young adults with heart disease. We are one of the few hospitals in the country that offers a service to help teens who have heart disease transition to adulthood. We work with the University of Washington Medical Center's program for adults with congenital heart disease.

Our Team

Our team of cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, surgeons and clinical specialists work together to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
