The group is dedicated to the study and appreciation of SF author Dr. Charles Sheffield (1935-2002).
This Hugo and Nebula award-wnning author published over 30 books and is perhaps most well known for having created the Heritage Universe, a stunning and fascinating universe full of ancient artifacts, bizarre races, and the stories behind them. He also served as President of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and the American Astronautical Society.
Dr. Charles Sheffield, born in England, was also the husband of well-known author Nancy Kress.
