FOR BREAKING NEWS . . . START HERE:

Firefox Tip - One click to open all your favorite news sites at once:  Recent versions of the Firefox browser can be configured so that launching a single instance of Firefox, in turn, simultaneously launches multiple tabs, each containing any favorite web page of your choosing, including your favorite news sites.  For example, after just one click on the icon for my "News Sites" version of Firefox, simultaneously launches all 19 of my favorite news sites, so I can bounce among them, without having to launch, load (and wait for) each one sequentially.  After all the tabs have loaded, each is ready for me to simply click on and read--or jump back and forth among--very quickly.

To configure your "News Sites" version of Firefox, launch Firefox, then launch your preferred favorite news sites, each within its own tab.  (Consider starting with some of the news links above and below, on this page.)  Then, with, say 8 to 16 tabs loaded, save them all at once as your "Home Page"; i.e., go to Firefox's Tools, Options, General, Homepage, and click only once on the "Use Current Pages" button to automatically fill the Homepage "Location(s)" form line, with all the site URLs presently loaded within your 8 to 16 tabs.   (Or start filling your form by cutting and pasting my nearly 20 favorite News URLs in this text file --currently about 650 bytes long, with no carriage returns.  Add to, delete, and rearrange the URLs, as you like.)  Close Firefox, then re-launch it.  You should see all your previously selected favorite news sites--and logos!--loading into their respective tabs.  Right click on a given tab to see all that Firefox will let do with your tabs.  Also, if you don't like the order of your tabs, rearrange them by dragging and dropping them into your preferred order.  Once your tabs are right for you, click on, and bounce around, them to your heart's content.  Good luck!
