Advances
in Development Communication
The Advances in Development Communication course is a joint
collaboration between the Health Education Resource Unit
(HERU), Faculty of Health Sciences, American University
of Beirut (AUB) and the Center for Communication Programs
(CCP)/ Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins
University. The course is offered in Arabic and aims to
upgrade skills of participants in designing, planning, implementing,
monitoring and evaluating effective programs in development
communication.
The course is structured around the P Process of program
design. The P process is essentially a framework upon which
effective communication programs can be built. It comprises
the following six elements:
o Analysis
o Design
o Development, Pre-testing, and Production
o Implementation, Monitoring, and Management
o Impact Evaluation
o Planning for Continuity
