Degrees and Programs
Bachelor of Science in Environmental
Health
The ENHL offers a three-year program in environmental health
and awards a Bachelor of Science. The curriculum provides a
broad education in basic sciences and a fundamental knowledge
of environmental health. Emphasis is placed upon the evaluation
and control of major environmental health problems in developing
countries in such fields as water supply, waste disposal, food
hygiene, occupational health, air and marine pollution, and
control of disease vectors. Students in this program are also
required to take public health courses in the fields of epidemiology,
biostatistics, health services administration, and public health
education, which lead to a minor in public health.
Developing countries are in great need of qualified personnel

of the human environment. This provides great opportunities
for graduates of this program.
