(NEW) Report for Sumatra Earthquake will be held on May 9, 2005 at Kyoto University. The detail is here (Japanese only).


(NEW) Noto Hanto Earthquake attacked Noto peninsula of Ishikawa Prefecture on March 25, 2007. The urgently survey of the damaged area is summarized here by Dr. Goto of Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University.

Western Fukuoka Earthquake (M7.0) attacked Fukuoka prefecture on March 20, 2005. On March 25, April 4, 5, we went to survey the damage preliminary. The flash report is now available (Japanese only).

Smatra Earthquake (M9.0), attacked Indonesia on December 26, 2004, was the forth largest earthquake since 1900 and caused huge Tunami around Indian Ocean Area. MEXT organized the survey teams and we went to Indonesia, Thailand in February 28 - March 10, 2005. The flash report is now available (Japanese only).

Niigata-ken Chunan Earthquake (M6.8) attacked Niigata prefecture on October 23, 2004. On Oct. 24, Prof. Sawada, Dr. Honda and I went to survey the damage preliminary. The flash report is now available (Japanese only).
