William Whipple Warren (May 27, 1825 – June 1, 1853) was a mixed-blood Ojibwe historian, interpreter, and legislator in the Minnesota Territory.
Early life and family
William Warren was born at
La Pointe, Wisconsin, on
Madeline Island, the son of Lyman Warren, a fur trader, and Mary Cadotte, daughter of
Michel Cadotte.
