West Silvertown is a station on the Docklands Light Railway which opened in December 2005. It is located on the King George V branch. Trains run Westbound to Bank in the City of London and Eastbound to King George V, passing through London City Airport station.
The station is in the London Borough of Newham and is located in Travelcard Zone 3.
, however, the new King George V branch was opened and trains can now continue South: they cross under Lower Lea Crossing, travel along Silvertown Way before reaching North Woolwich Road [A1020], where West Silvertown DLR is located. The station is situated close to the site of Lyle Park, and was set up to serve Britannia Village and the proposed new development at Peruvian Wharf. The station (like most Docklands Light Railway stations) is elevated and can be reached from street level by stairs or a lift. There is a future station planned to the north-west of here called Thames Wharf but it depends on regeneration of the area, amongst other things.
