Warriors Of Virtue is a 1997 Chinese-American movie directed by Ronny Yu. It is in English, Japanese and Cantonese.

Plot

A young man, Ryan, suffering from a physical disability, wishes to fit in with the older kids from his school's football team. During an initiation rite, Ryan is swept away through a whirlpool to the land of Tao. There he is hunted by the evil Lord Komodo, who desires the boy in order to live eternally.

Ryan is rescued by the protectors of Tao, five humanoid kangaroos, each imbued with the five elements and virtues. Ryan learns a valuable lesson while saving the land of Tao.

  • In the sequence where Master Chung first shows the Warriors to Ryan, Tsun's safety cable is visible for a few seconds as she is exploding out from underground.
  • Komodo's taunt, "Warriors, come out and play," is an homage to the street gang film The Warriors (film).
