Vilia (Greek: Βίλια) is a town and municipality of the Greek prefecture of West Attica in Attica. Vilia is northwest of the road linking the GR-3 (Athens - Thiva) about 3 km west of Oinoi and about 9 km east of Aigosthena / Porto Germeno, it also serves a road to the western part of mount Kithaironas. The area around Vilia are mountainous with Makri Oros (850 m) to the south, mount Kithaironas (1,409 m) to the northwest and Pastra to the northeast. Farmlandas are situated in the valley areas. The ancient Eleutheriae lies to the northeast. Vilia is located northwest of Athens and Elefsina, ENE of Corinth and south of Thiva. The municipality includes villages in the easternmost part of the Gulf of Corinth including the ancient city of Aigosthena. The town of Vília (pop. 1,955 in 2001) is the municipal seat of the Municipality of Vília, which has a land area of 144.851 km² and a total population of 3,215 inhabitants. The municipality's largest other villages are Káto Alepochóri (pop. 412), Aigósthena (320), Psátha (172), and Ágios Nektários (136).
